Dr. Moti Prakash

Biography

Dr. Moti Prakash migrated to India in the wake of Partition, at the age of 16. Uprooted from his native land and facing grave economic hardship in a family of ten, he began life humbly in a room in a chawl, with no financial assistance from any source. It was a great struggle for bare survival.

In 1951, immediately after passing his S.S.C. examination from the Poona board, he began a career in teaching while continuing his own studies.

In February 1977 he was appointed the first Principal of the Indian High School, Dubai, then with 600 students on its rolls - today one of the most sought-after schools in the Gulf, permanently affiliated to the CBSE.
