Hugao

Hugao -1993- is Sundri Uttamchandani’s first collection of free verse poetry, with a preface by eminent poet Prabhu Wafa. Rich in imagery drawn from nature, love, memory and human emotions, the poems reflect Sundri’s distinctive creative voice and progressive outlook. The collection also reinterprets Sindhi folk traditions and legendary heroines from a woman’s perspective, questioning conventional and patriarchal attitudes.
